County Sheriff and Prosecutor Back Outsider
(Jackson, MI) - Sheriff Dan Heyns and Prosecutor Hank Zavislak, both of Jackson County, today announced their endorsement of Brian Rooney, Republican candidate for Michigan's 7th Congressional District.
"Brian Rooney has served and protected us as a United States Marine and will continue to do so," said Heyns. "As I have said, economic growth and quality of life are not possible without law and order. I will work with Brian to make sure that we are safe as we grow in prosperity."
"Brian's experience as a constitutional attorney arms him with the tools necessary to get us back to our core values as a country," said Zavislak.
"Sheriff Heyns and Prosecutor Zavislak have worked tirelessly to protect the Jackson community," said Rooney. Sheriff Heyns has served the Jackson community for over 30 years. He served as the undersheriff for Jackson County for nearly 10 years before being named Sheriff. He has served in that position since 2003.
Prosecutor Zavislak has worked tirelessly as the Prosecuting Attorney for Jackson County since 2003. Prior to that, Zavislak served as Jackson County Sheriff for 22 years.
